EIA forecast shows 1.667B Utica production increase

Incremental upticks in Utica shale natural gas production will continue through the end of the year, according to the latest federal projections.

Next month, the shale formation drilled mostly in eastern Ohio should produce 1.667 billion cubic feet of gas per day, up from the 1.581 billion for November, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said Monday. That's up from 1.46 billion cubic feet last month.
