Fred G. Wood III is senior vice president–Financial Management, Energy Infrastructure Group.
Wood joined the company in 1985 as an economist with Virginia Power. Since then, he has held numerous financial management positions, including assistant vice president and assistant treasurer of Dominion Resources from 1996 to 1998; he also was in charge of investor relations from 1997 to 1998.
He served as vice president, treasurer and chief financial officer of Dominion Energy from 1998 to 2000, and as senior vice president–Financial Management, Dominion Exploration & Production, from 2000 to 2004. He was named senior vice president–Financial Management, Dominion Generation in January 2004 and assumed his current post in January 2014.
Wood serves on the board of directors of the School of the Performing Arts in the Richmond Community, or SPARC. He previously served on the Business Partner’s board of the College of William & Mary’s Mason School of Business.
A native of Charlottesville, Va., Wood received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the College of William & Mary and a master’s degree in economics from Virginia Commonwealth University.
